Swiss Volunteers strong together with partner gazenergie behind them in future too
The Swiss gas industry and Swiss Volunteers are further expanding their commitment to volunteering. Together, the partners aim to expand the platform's national activities and thus enable the success of many events through volunteering. On the 5th of December 2019, the two partners extended their contract for another three years with an option for a further two years. Since the launch of Swiss Volunteers in 2010, the Swiss Gas Industry Association (VSG) has supported the non-profit organisation.
Achieving great goals with shared values
"Without volunteers, no event could be held. Swiss Volunteers offers event organisers concrete support and at the same time makes volunteering more attractive, in the future also for events in the cultural sector," says Markus Solinger, Head of Marketing at VSG. Swiss Volunteers is also happy to be able to continue the existing partnership for another three years. "The two long-standing partners have been advocating the same values for years: commitment, future orientation, social sustainability and partnership. In January 2020, Swiss Volunteers will launch a renewed volunteer platform that will make it easier for organisers and volunteers to organise events by means of efficient and intuitive volunteer administration. In addition to sporting events, cultural events will now also be able to benefit from the services of Swiss Volunteers.
The gas industry has been supporting Swiss volunteering for years Gazenergie replaced the natural gas brand in March 2019, no longer representing a single gas product but gas (natural gas, biogas and other renewable gases) and its infrastructure. The Swiss gas network is an important pillar of our society's energy supply. The NPO Swiss Volunteers, which is supported by VSG, stands out with a network of more than 60,000 registered volunteers throughout Switzerland, who support around 100 sporting and cultural events per year. This makes the non-profit organisation an important partner in the field of volunteering for many event organisers in Switzerland.
